The top five teams in the 2024 national recruiting rankings are still the same as last week .Georgia is still in first place, far ahead of the other teams. After Georgia, there is a big gap. The next teams are Ohio State, Florida, Michigan, and Alabama, who are rising in the rankings.
However, some schools have shown significant progress in the past week. Clemson and Penn State have climbed a few spots, but the most impressive improvement came from Oklahoma. They have jumped from being outside the top 25 teams all the way up to No. 16 in the 2024 national recruiting rankings.
They achieved their goal by recruiting one of the most talented players in the country. On Friday afternoon, Longview (Texas) five-star running back Taylor Tatum revealed his decision to join the Sooners.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Tatum (5-foot-10, 205 pounds) is ranked as the top running back, 9th overall in Texas, and 31st nationally in the class of 2024.

After Tatum’s pledge, Oklahoma’s 2024 recruiting class currently has 15 confirmed commitments.. He is the first five-star recruit for the Sooners and the highest-ranked prospect in their group.
