As we started revealing the best high school football players in the Class of 2024, we kicked off with quarterback Dylan Raiola. At that point in the narrative, he was attending Pinnacle High School in Arizona. Not long after, the top-ranked quarterback and the overall number-one college football prospect made a move and switched to the strong Buford school in Georgia.
Today, we’re unveiling the best safeties in the United States, and we’re starting off with KJ Bolden, one of Raiola’s offensive teammates. Bolden is a two-way player who excels on both sides of the ball, and he’s recognized as the top safety in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Additionally, Bolden showcases his skills as a talented receiver.
Buford holds the distinction of being ranked as the leading public school in the High School Football America 100 for public schools, with its ranking supported by NFL Play Football. On a broader scale, Buford occupies the seventh position in our preseason national rankings.
Bolden is set to reveal his college decision on August 5th. He has narrowed down his choices to five schools: Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, and Ohio State.
Bolden is among the pair of 5-star safeties in the rankings. The second one is Xavier Filsaime from McKinney High School in Texas, positioned at No. 2. Filsaime, who stands at 6 feet 1 inch and weighs 180 pounds, has verbally committed to the Florida Gators.
