Lee County’s high school football team has made a significant leap in the first in-season High School Football America Georgia Top 25 rankings, which are supported by NFL Play Football. The Trojans have moved up the ranks from No. 25 to No. 18 following their season-opening victory of 26-19 against Warner Robins. On the other hand, the Demons dropped from No. 19 to No. 20 in this week’s statewide rankings, which are determined using our exclusive algorithm.
On a broader scale, in the national context, Lee County has advanced to No. 167 from its previous preseason position of No. 241.
Buford, the top-ranked team, has also experienced a positive shift in our national rankings. The Wolves have secured the fourth position nationwide after delivering a shutout performance against the former No. 3 team, St. Frances Academy (from Maryland), with a score of 18-0. This game was broadcasted on Football.
In the upcoming week, the Wolves are scheduled to face Mallard Creek in North Carolina. Mallard Creek is ranked No. 127 in the Breaking News 300.
Ranked at No. 12, Creekside High School is gearing up for some significant matchups against teams from outside their state. This week, the Seminoles are getting ready for a matchup against St. Peter’s Prep, the Seminoles are set to face off against St. Peter’s Prep, a strong team from New Jersey, which holds the No. 155 spot in the national rankings. Going into this game, Creekside holds the No. 123 position in the national rankings.

Looking ahead to September 2, the Tribe will travel to Southern California to take on the nation’s top-ranked team, Mater Dei.
Similarly, like Buford, the 17th-ranked Benedictine team will also be heading to North Carolina. The reigning 4A champions will be facing Chambers, a team ranked No. 191 nationally. The Cadets currently hold the No. 160 position in the breaking news 300 for this week.
In terms of in-state action, a notable game this week features defending 7A champion Mill Creek, which holds the No. 4 spot in the statewide rankings, going up against No. 21 Norcross.
