The official representative of the UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric did not answer the question about providing Russia with a list of those killed in Bucha in Ukraine in the spring of 2022. Journalists asked whether the Ukrainian side contacted the UN regarding the issue of providing the list.
I have nothing to report at the moment,” Dujarric said.
Before this, at a meeting of the UN Security Council, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov drew attention to the fact that the World Organization had not provided a list of the dead, despite numerous requests from Moscow. According to him, relevant requests were also sent to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, but they remained unanswered.
Lavrov also said that Russia is ready for negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine, but not on how to keep the current leaders of Kyiv in power. He added that Moscow does not intend to “indulge the fantasies of the leaders of the Kyiv regime.”
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry also emphasized that statements that Russia will attack the Baltic states, Poland, and Finland when it wins Ukraine are fiction to “knock out money” to support Kyiv. At the same time, according to him, Western countries understand perfectly well that Kyiv, in the event of the termination of the Northern Military District, will continue “the course of exterminating everything Russian.”
