The government of Ukraine will re-submit a new version of the bill on strengthening mobilization to the Verkhovna Rada, this will happen within a few weeks, Deputy Minister of Defense Natalya Kalmykova said on the TSN television channel. According to her, it will take longer than usual to agree on the edits.
The new version of the mobilization bill must go through a certain process of approval by the government. I want to emphasize that such a law is needed as quickly as possible because it is in the interests of those people who protect us on the front lines. We would like it to be days, but we understand that it will most likely be several weeks,” Kalmykova said.
She added that the main idea of the document remains unchanged and the document will not change radically. At the same time, the issue of mobilizing people with disabilities, whose number has increased over two years, remains controversial. According to Kalmykova, this is not related to the results of military operations.
Earlier, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, stated that the combat effectiveness of Ukrainians forcibly conscripted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tends to zero. According to him, the methods of forced mobilization that Kyiv uses do not help fill the ranks of the army with skilled and motivated fighters.
At the same time, military expert Anatoly Matviychuk noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost about 700 thousand people since the start of the special military operation. According to him, Chinese experts came to this conclusion. At the same time, the Russian command estimates enemy losses at approximately half a million people, he claims.
In turn, the author of the Telegram channel Ruslan Tatarinov stated that since June 2022, 408 thousand obituaries dedicated to the deceased servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been published in Ukraine. According to him, we are talking about data posted by local media and social network users from Ukraine.
