The top three teams in the High School Football America Ohio Top 25 high school football rankings secured significant wins against out-of-state opponents this week.
At No. 1, St. Edward, the two-time defending Division I champion in the state, had a successful outing with a 27-10 victory against three-time defending Indiana 6A champion Center Grove. This win also results in the Eagles moving up from No. 13 to No. 11 in our national rankings, supported by NFL Play Football.
In the upcoming week, St. Ed will face nationally-ranked Good Counsel from Maryland. Good Counsel holds the No. 30 spot in the national rankings.
At No. 2, Massillon Washington defeated Valdosta, which holds the record for the most wins in high school football history. The Tigers won against Georgia’s Valdosta with a score of 28-17, bringing them within eight wins of Valdosta’s 941 victories. Massillon Washington now boasts 933 wins.
Archbishop Hoban, ranked at No. 3, dominated with a resounding 45-6 victory over defending Kentucky 5A champion Douglass.
Cincinnati’s St. Xavier moved up four spots to No. 6 in our statewide rankings, determined by our unique algorithm. The Bombers secured a 10-0 victory over Lakota West, positioned at No. 7. In the upcoming week, St. Xavier will travel to Detroit to face Michigan’s consecutive Division 3 champion, Martin Luther King.
Pickerington North enters the Top 25 with a 39-35 win over preseason No. 8 Elder. Pickerington North now holds the No. 10 position, while Elder drops to No. 11.

- No. 19 Princeton against No. 7 Lakota West
- No. 20 Wayne (Huber Heights) against No. 18 Pickerington Central
