The Russian military prevented a missile attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Belgorod region, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported. They noted that air defense systems destroyed 13 rockets.
On December 29, at about 11 p.m., an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation using multiple launch rocket systems was stopped. The duty air defense systems destroyed 13 missiles over the Belgorod region, the defense department said in a statement.
Earlier, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported that the air defense system had been activated in the region and several air targets had been shot down. According to preliminary data, one person died. The governor went to the scene.
Previously, it was reported that on December 29, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shelled the Belgorod region three times a day. The last shelling at that time occurred around 20:00. According to Gladkov, the city of Shebekino came under fire. As a result, four private residential buildings received various damages.
