Ben Davis climbs three positions to reach No. 5 in the inaugural 2023 in-season High School Football America Indiana Top 10 high school football rankings, fueled by NFL Play Football. This advancement by the Giants follows an impressive 49-28 victory over Archbishop Moeller, a strong team from Ohio. Archbishop Moeller began the season ranked No. 54 in the 300 preseason national rankings.
Ben Davis initially started the season just beyond the Top 300 at No. 301. However, on Sunday, they managed to secure a spot in the Top 300, specifically at No. 128.
Despite experiencing a loss in their season opener, Center Grove, the reigning 6A champions for the third consecutive time, maintains their top position. The Trojans faced a 27-10 defeat against St. Edward, the two-time defending Ohio Division I champions. Looking ahead to Friday, Center Grove is set to host Oakland, the three-time defending champions of Tennessee’s 6A division.
At No. 6, Carmel also has a challenging opponent from another state. The Greyhounds will welcome Christian Brothers College, the two-time reigning champions of Missouri’s Class 6.
This week’s significant in-state matchup showcases Cathedral, ranked No. 2, traveling to face No. 3 Brownsburg. In the previous year, Brownsburg surprised Cathedral with a 42-35 victory on the road.
Fort Wayne Snider makes an entry into the rankings at No. 9 following their victory over preseason No. 8, Warren Central.
